Bad luck or clever marketing?

Because a lack of information about the delays, online speculation has gone rampant. Rumours are going from shortages in parts of materials to sneaky marketing tricks at play.

One of the rumours being spread is that the Fenix 8 Solar's outdated Memory in Pixel is a metaphorical eyesore for Garmin, who wuold rathed see their modern AMOLED display watch around customer's wrists. 

Another angle being discussed is whether or not Garmin is potentially profiting more on their AMOLED models, and are therefore pushing customers towards buying their AMOLED watch by artificially delaying the Fenix 8 Solar to induce higher profits.
